Fryxell GE, Lo CW The influence of environmental knowledge and values on managerial behaviours on behalf of the environment: An empirical examination of managers in China. It promotes attitudes and value systems that influence environmentally ethical behaviour by developing understanding, skills and values that will enable people to participate as active and informed citizens in the development of communities within an ecological sustainable and socially just society.

This module will introduce learners to various techniques and tools useful in working with stakeholders to establish effective public participation, and in facilitating participatory processes. Throughout, a political and socially transformative perspective is adopted.

The Study Unity will demonstrate how human well-being is dependent upon ecosystems, and identify barriers and drivers that prevent marginalized groups and communities from accessing these ecosystem services in a sustainable manner to improve their well-being, in essence perpetuating poverty.

It will identify possible policy responses to remove these barriers, and discuss intervention strategies to allow the poor to improve their well-being, with a particular focus on advocacy and social learning. Aims - To introduce the discourse that environmental education is fundamental to the achievement of sustainable development.
